Here's the combination of numbers for women in representative positions in Canada. It is an argument for keeping an appointed Senate. Data compiled from a number of sources. Data for municipal councilors only available after 2000.

Updating The Numbers

It's been busy, busy, busy since the start of the school year. As they say, "no rest for weary," or is that "no rest for the wicked." I definitely fit the first category, and maybe the second depending who you talk to. Recently, among other things, I've been at work updating and rewriting the chapter on representation for the 3rd edition of Women, Politics, and Public Policy . This has involved updating a couple of the charts. So today, I'm sharing some of those updated tables and graphs. If a picture is supposed to be worth a thousand words, I will stop writing now...
