The end of term is always a difficult time to get any writing done, which is a problem because I'm on a deadline. However, I did manage to hive off a little time from marking and dealing with student queries to compile the following statistics on Part Time and Full Time work and how it is distributed by gender. This is drawn from Statistics Canada Labour Force Survey characteristics and the U.S Bureau of Labor, Labour Force Statistics from the Current Population Survey. It's for a piece I'm working on about the gendered nature of work in Canada and the U.S.
