Small P and Large P Politics and the F Word

As of yesterday and today, there is now a full roster of candidates running in Southwest Ontario. After the drama in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex where the original candidate did not pass vetting according to a riding association spokesman and/or dropped out for personal reasons according to the candidate Ryan O'Hagan, the Association President, Mike Radan has stepped in as the candidate. In Sarnia-Lambton, a member of the London North Centre Liberal Association, Neil Wereley, will be running. There seems to be scant notice in the riding media and no mention on the riding association's facebook site, but the Provincial Liberal Party website is very quick about updating their pages  https://ontarioliberal.ca/candidates?l=EN Did anyone notice the article about Howarth's statement regarding the NDP running more than 50% women (69) in the 124 ridings. Such as it is: On Sunday it appeared that a Liberal Party candidate would be named for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex (LKM). As the CBC reports ( http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/lambton-kent-middlesex-still-without-liberal-candidate-after-nomination-falls-through-1.4661473 ) the announcement and campaign launch scheduled on Sunday was cancelled. According to a Liberal riding association spokesman, the nominee Ryan O'Hagan did not pass the party vetting process. No details were given. So the position is still open with just over two days left to the deadline for nominations. There is still no Liberal Party candidate in Sarnia-Lambton. Elgin-Middlesex-London Includes part of south London, North Dorchester and Thames Centre, so it has a bit of the urban mixed in with the rural.
