As of yesterday and today, there is now a full roster of candidates running in Southwest Ontario.
After the drama in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex where the original candidate did not pass vetting according to a riding association spokesman and/or dropped out for personal reasons according to the candidate Ryan O'Hagan, the Association President, Mike Radan has stepped in as the candidate.
In Sarnia-Lambton, a member of the London North Centre Liberal Association, Neil Wereley, will be running. There seems to be scant notice in the riding media and no mention on the riding association's facebook site, but the Provincial Liberal Party website is very quick about updating their pages https://ontarioliberal.ca/candidates?l=EN
Did anyone notice the article about Howarth's statement regarding the NDP running more than 50% women (69) in the 124 ridings. I'll be working on getting a full list together tomorrow and getting that posted.
Just as a teaser: The NDP are running 69 women, the Liberals 55, and the PC 41. In terms of the number of women at Queen's Park after June 7th, if an how significantly female representation declines, will depend on how overwhelming the PC sweep is.
